Bath Judo Kwai recently presented its annual awards for 2005

The winner of the Senior Award and the Ko-Ro-Sho trophy was Kelera Godwin. This award is presented to the player who has shown outstanding effort, attitude and achievement in their judo at the club. Kelera was recently also awarded the BANES Active Leisure Young Volunteer in Sports Award for her hard work and dedication to the club. She regularly helps out with teaching the club’s junior section as well as obtaining her black belt in 2005.She is currently training to become a judo coach.

The Most improved junior award was presented to Harry Godwin, Kelera’s brother. 13-year-old’s Harry’s rise in the last year has seen him win national medals and gain selection for the Great Britain Judo Squad. His most recent medal was a Bronze in the Open weight category at the British Schools Judo Championships held at Bath University.

A special award was presented by the coaches to Harry Timbrell for outstanding effort and dedication. 12-year-old Harry is a long standing member of the club and the coaches decided to present him with a new award to recognise his determination and attitude in his judo development over the years he has been at the club.
