Kelera Godwin:
Achieved final points required and awarded 1st Dan Black Belt.
For Black Belt requires 100 points (maximum of 10 for a win) and an exam of all the techniques chosen at random by the examiner. This part was completed last summer.
She has been doing Judo for 3 years, turned senior at 15, because of a lack of opponents to fight of her ability.
Attends the upper 6 th form at Beechen Cliff School
First from junior members to achieve Black Belt
Fought in junior nationals competition for West of England & Somerset
Fought for England in international competitions
Her next step is to go into coaching. She helps out coaching out junior members on a Saturday Morning
Won gold at Southern Championships in 2004 at Crystal Palace
Competing for Beechen Cliff in British Schools Open Championships at Wolverhampton in next few weeks
