Fighting at the Gower Open brother and sister, Harry and Kelera Godwin both won Silver medals. Harry was unfortunate to be in a combined weight group, with his weight being the lower of the 2. Most of his contests were against players much bigger than Harry and up to 10kgs heavier.

At the Salisbury Open Rory Ilott was in a group of eight fighters that contained two junior national  medallist but still managed to come away with a third place Bronze medal after five hard contests, one going into extra time which Rory won with a Golden score throw . In the same competition Bath Coach Jan Hitchcock won a Silver medal winning three out of four of his contests in the senior competition.
